On The Red Carpet : The 5th Anniversary of the CFDA & Vogue Fashion Fund, "Twilight" World Premiere, Happy Hearts Fund Ball

5th Anniversary of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, NY

From Beijing to New York, Charlize Threon is quite the jetsetter. Another day, another custom made Dior dress. This one being a modified Fall 2008 Haute Couture dress. John Galliano's spin on the essential little black dress did Ms. Theron well. The slightly transparent bottom and shimmering top makes the dress perfect for a very fashionable night. Charlize is so brave to go both short and strapless, as it was almost 40 degrees last night.

Another star that shimmered last night, Juliette Lewis. I didn't think I would ever put the words sequins and jumpsuit in a sentence, but I completly adore this 3.1 Phillip Lim jumpsuit. While many dislike the trend, Juliette wears it well. I can't say her hair and shoes were spot on, but it just screams effortlessly glamorous. If only she would've went it a simple pump. Lanvin Court Shoe anyone?

After seeing Giambattista Valli's Spring 2009 show, I was hoping that someone would wear one of the mind blowing voluminous gowns from the show. My wish came true last night, in the form of Jennifer Morrison. How did she do? Well let's just say, she did Valli proud. Always true to the label, she wore this absolutely breathtaking black dress with a lace overlay, that stopped a little above her ankles. Some my complain that dresses of that length are hardly flattering, but Jennifer makes me want to raid her closet.

Always the trendsetter, Tory Burch. Hardly ever spotted on the red carpet in any of her own designs, the always fashion forward designer arrived to the event in a Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2008 dress. Tory decided to go for a more approachable look than that of the runway. Though I kind of enjoyed the bowl cut wigs and black lips, paired with extremely daring shoes, it can all seem a little harsh off of the runway. The black suede on the bodice of the dress is just spectacular. You can purchase the Silk Tokyo Colorblock Dress at Nemian Marcus, for $4,150.00.

After her show stopping appearance at the 2008 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Saturday, Doutzen Kroes is back on the red carpet. The newly crowned Victoria's Secret angel, looks better than ever. The gorgeous model from the Netherlands, is one of few starlets to not ruin a Hervé Léger dress. The next time you are trying to attempt a bandage dress, take note of Doutzen. Of course someone as her can wear one, but many mere mortals can't.

Thus marks the downfall of Blake Lively's fashion sense. Why the Gossip Girl chose to wear such an unflattering dress, with boots is beyond me. It's almost puzzling to see someone so youthful wear something like this. At least her hair and make-up look great....
I truly hope what ever problems she may be having with her stylist, get resolved - ASAP. The Vena Cava Fall 2007 dress looks a million times better on the runway.

Love her or hate her, you cant deny how divine Chanel Iman looked last night. In a Daughters by Obedient Sons Fall 2008 suit, Chanel channels the popular menswear made for women trend, that we've been seeing on both Fall and Spring runways. Isn't it just shocking to see her wear something like this. Her amazing dark blue pumps and black stole add the perfect feminine touch. I'm sure attendee, Anna Wintour, was a bit delighted.

When it comes to Agyness Deyn, her style rarely leaves us bored. Has her style matured? Only a tad bit. The British model was nothing short of chic. A visible bra and sky high heels have never made a more better combination on Ms. Deyn. Who knows, maybe Agyness wants to be taken seriously now. All I can say is, whatever she is doing, it is wondering wonders.

In my last red carpet post on Coco Rocha, I said that the model can do no wrong. I stand corrected. Though she was a absolutely lovely in her Gucci Resort 2009 dress, a few minor problems made me cringe. One being her head scarf. While it is a new and different look, it didn't seem to go with the other glam looks that many other party goers had. The next, her barely there make-up. Her very minimalist make-up doesn't fit the boho/gypsy feel, that her overall look had. It almost washes her out. The last thing that disappointed me was the fact that she wasn't wearing a bra or nipple coverings. The detailed photo says it all.

"Twilight" World Premiere, LA

Kristen Stewart is now officially on my fashion radar. After the 'Twilight' star stepped onto the red carpet last night, in a Balenciaga Resort 2009 dress, she blew me away. When dressing for the premiere of a vampire movie, Gothic glamour should be in mind. It most likely was in Kristen's. She paired her gorgeous asymmetrical Balenciaga mini with simple black pumps. The amazing and harmonious black and red colors, could put any vampire to shame. Even with her messy hair, her look rivaled many others present at the premiere.

Co-star Robert Pattinson had the privilege to be alongside Kristen last night. Dressed in black from head to toe, Robert stayed in character. Though his hair could've been a little more controlled, his shirt a little more neat, and his shoes tied - I can't complain. His mesmerizing good looks earn him a pass.

Another fashion forward 'Twilight' star, Elizabeth Reaser. In a green tightly gathered Burberry Prorsum Fall 2008 dress, Elizabeth has never looked better. As I stated before, matching all of your accessories to your dress, rarely looks good. She almost came close to committing the crime, but saved herself by using colors in the same family. Off setting the other shades of green made for a harmonious piece. You can purchase her Organza Burberry Prorsum Dress at Nemain Marcus, for $5,995.00.

Actress Camilla Belle is just another to key into Spring early. In a Miu Miu Spring 2009 dress, she works the mirco mini trend. Only in LA could this trend have worked at this time of year. From the printed dress to the two-tone bow pumps, she was pure perfection.

2008 Happy Hearts Fund Ball "A Masquerade In Venice", NY

Like Doutzen, Marisa Miller is also back in New York and making her red carpet rounds, after a very successful Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. In a floor sweeping strapless black Dolce & Gabbana gown, Marisa was the definition of class. Who would've thought a strapless polka dot gown could ever look this sexy, yet sophisticate. Unlike Coco Rocha, Marisa's nude make-up is perfect. The model has earned major points for this look.

Another model that surly captured many eyes, Petra Nemcova. In a beautifully draped Marchesa Spring 2009 dress, Marisa must have been green with envy. The gown, is just heaven on the model's body. The dress does seem to work a little better on Petra than it did on Olga Sherer, as Petra filled it out a bit better. I can't say I'm loving her hair reminiscent of the infamous beehive, but her make-up is to die for.
